Printing and Painting of the TFO of Koji Kabuto in Grendizer

Welcome to this simple printing and painting done for a friend of mine. This time I printed the TFO (or minidisc) of Koji Kabuto (Alcor for Italian speakers) in the anime series Grendizer (or Goldrake or Atlas Ufo Robot in Italy and Goldorak in France) by the genius of Go Nagai.

First of all I printed the STL that my friend gave me (so I don’t have any reference for it, but for sure there are plenty online).
This time everything wet smoothly because I already played with the settings for ABS so I had all the parts ready at first attempt. I tried to assemble everything to see if all the parts were fitting ok.

I used the usually technique of acetone bath (look on the post of the Phoenix if you are interested).
After that I colored the pieces singularly and then I assembled all of them using dissolved abs in acetone as a glue. One of these days I will explain this way of assembling ABS pieces without glue.

Everything was extremely simple, so I just had to mask something in order of creating the glass screen.
As a base I used an unused rod from some other model and a Simple round stand that I printed in the correct dimension.

Here you can see the final model.

Hope you enjoied.
